I shifted my weight forward, moving from a cross-legged position onto my knees. Scarlett moaned breathy nothingness. She rolled to face me, eyes still closed. One of her arms cranked under her head, hand sticking up through her messy hair. She breathed in forcefully, groaning, blowing raspberries as her lips caught together, her nose crinkled. I smiled. I think she could feel my eyes on her. Her eyebrows knit together barely and her dark lashes fluttered. I didn’t catch her eyes, but her heart drummed in the back of my head and it gave her away. Her face contorted in frustration and she shifted violently, rolling back over to face away from me with a huff. Playful Kisses [Gt Oneshot]
Scarlett dipped and danced around the desk in the living room, lightly tracing her hands over Nicolas’s fingers as he typed on his laptop. Each time his hands moved, she quickly stumbled to catch them, almost mesmerized. He paid her little mind until she bowed to kiss his finger. If he had running blood, maybe he would blush at the peck. Instead, he quirked an eyebrow, flinching away slightly. Scarlett twirled away, drunk off happiness and more whiskey than a borrower should probably ingest. “Are you alright?” he asked, eyes still focused on his task. Scarlett hummed in reply and leapt from the table onto his moving hand. He flattened it as much as he could as she fell, slumped over on his wrist. With her sprawled out, he raised his hand to his face, dark eyes searching hers. Her bright green ones contrast sharply with the red burnt into her cheeks and she tried to stare past him, away from him. Her hair was damp with sweat and pushed away from her eyes, framing her face messily.

Scarlett’s heart rate picked up, though she stayed asleep, merely flinching away from my fingers. I pulled out and away, instead favoring cradling her shape from outside my jacket. She calmed, shifting her miniscule weight more towards one corner as I moved. It was almost 3 in the morning. The janitor across the room froze, hoping I would avoid them, which I did. They didn’t look at me as I slipped out the front door, and I ignored the fact that their quiet, trying-to-be silent yet labored breaths returned to normal once I was gone. Snow fell mutely and the street was empty, as it should be so late into the night. I shifted my bag more comfortably away from Scarlett and turned down an alley to get home faster. Thump thump, thump-thump. I wet my lips, my hand cradling my pocket more, my thumb tracing along the lump Scarlett made. I wanted to hold her. Thump-thump
